TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship players to watch

The Teamfight Tactics Gizmos and Gadgets Championship kicks off starting Friday, with the 32 best players from across the world competing for a $300,000 prize pool and the TFT Set 6 crown.

With so many players involved, it may be hard to pick who to follow throughout the weekend — but Upcomer has you covered. Here are the top players from each region that spectators should keep an eye on when the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship begins.

Huanmie (China)

Huanmie is the regining TFT world champion. Not only that, he is the only player to make it to three different TFT World Championships — which he has done it in three straight seasons. It is disingenuous to consider him anything short of the best TFT player in the world right now.

Huanmie had a rough finish in the TFT Fates championship, but after taking the TFT Reckoning season to collect himself and to improve he clutched out a first-place finish. At the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Chinese Regional semifinals, with his back against the wall in the final game, Huanmie put everything on the line once again by going down to 19HP before finally spiking. His reward was just enough points to qualify for the Finals.

In those finals, Huanmie did what he had to do to qualify for the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship. He might not have won this year’s Chinese regional finals, but he didn’t win last year’s either and he still found a way to walk out with the title at Worlds.

Double61 (EMEA)

Huanmie isn’t the only world champion playing in this season’s TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship. After a two-season absence, the first-ever TFT world champion, Double61, is back looking for his second title.

Double61 hoisted the first TFT world championship trophy at the TFT Galaxies Championship back in 2020. Nearly two years later he has found his footing once more. Not only is he coming into this season’s world championship as a former Worlds winner, but he’s also coming in as the top seed for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region after winning the Rising Legends: Gizmos and Gadgets Finals.

With more experience and momentum than everyone not named Huanmie, Double61 is in a prime position to become the first-ever two-time TFT World champion.

Ddudu (Korea)

Ddudu is here in his second straight TFT World Championship. He nearly made it three straight after barely missing out during the TFT Fates Korean regional finals. Regardless, Ddudu managed to qualify again by placing fourth in the Legends Cup: Gizmos & Gadgets, which served as South Korea’s TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship qualifier.

The reason Ddudu is a player to watch despite not winning his championship qualifier is due to his status as the Rank 1 player on the Korea server. Coming into this event, it’s obvious he knows how to play on the Worlds patch and has the experience of playing on the international stage. Ddudu could be the second coming of Huanmie this season.

Milk (North America)

When it comes to North American players at the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship, the player on everyone’s radar is Jeffrey “Milk” Pan. Many of his peers call him the TFT GOAT in NA and, based on his performances on ladder and in tournaments, it’s hard to argue. He is a perennial Rank 1 player on the NA Ladder and finished third at last season’s TFT Reckoning Championship as the highest placing non-Chinese player.

Milk is coming into this season’s TFT World Championship on a hot streak. He easily won the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets NA Regional Finals, finishing a full six points above the second-placed player — and that was even after he took a victory lap in Game 6 and by placing eighth.

Milk could cement himself in the TFT GOAT conversation with a win at the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship while also giving NA its first-ever TFT championship.

Eusouolucas (Minor region/Brazil)

The player from the minor regions to look out for at the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship has to be Eusouolucas. After finishing third at Brazil’s regional finals, Eusouolucas had to earn his spot in the TFT Gizmos and Gadgets Championship through the new Last Chance Qualifier.

With insane competition from the NA, EMEA and Latin America regions, Eusouolucas turned heads by not only grabbing one of the two final spots but doing it in a convincing fashion. Eusouolucas locked up his spot in the main event before the final game even started. On that day, he was the best player in the lobby.

When it comes to players carrying momentum, Eusouolucas is dialed in on the Worlds patch.
