It’s been tough sledding for spring sports this year: Whit & Whimsey

BRUNSWICK, Ohio – Rain, rain, rain. Mud, mud, mud. That’s pretty much been the story for local sports. With the spring seasons allegedly under way for soccer, baseball, running and more, it’s been a tough time.

In Brunswick, the soccer fields at Hopkins Park have been saturated with virtually no time for practice, which makes it especially hard for youngsters who haven’t ever played before. The Healthy Kids Running Series had to postpone runs as its track has been a swamp. As one coach asked, “Does anyone know a “no-rain dance?”
